A Story of Love, Hope and the Power of a Song
Sumner County Theater Company is thrilled to present Hadestown: Teen Edition, a powerful retelling of the ancient Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone.
Set in a haunting world inspired by American folk music and New Orleans jazz, the story follows young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice as they navigate love, hardship and the dangerous road to the underworld. Along the way, they discover what it means to hold onto hope—even when the odds seem impossible.
Bold, moving and filled with unforgettable music, Hadestown: Teen Edition gives young performers the opportunity to explore complex characters, powerful storytelling and a production unlike any other.

Auditions Are Now Open
Auditions are one of the first ways students step into the world of theater, and we work hard to make that experience welcoming, positive and encouraging.
Whether you are auditioning for the first time or already feel at home on stage, this is your opportunity to share your talent, challenge yourself and become part of the SCTC theater family.
We are looking for passionate young performers who are ready to learn, grow and work together to bring the unforgettable world of Hadestown to life.
Throughout the program, students will strengthen their skills in acting, singing, movement, character development and stagecraft while working alongside fellow cast members and SCTC’s creative team.
More than simply preparing for a show, this experience gives young performers the opportunity to build confidence, form meaningful friendships and discover the power of telling a story together.

Tech Week
